The well-ventilated enclosure is painted in black with structure, LED for alarm indication and has a display for visualization of; current, voltage, temperature and possible operating time. The unit must be rack mounted. 5 year warranty. The EN54 series is mainly used in fire alarm systems and spoken evacuation alarms where an EN54-4 approved battery backup is required. The EN54 series offers INTELLIGENT CHARGING, which means that when the batteries are fully charged, they will be electronically disconnected for standby mode for up to 20 days. By charging the batteries every 20 days (instead of not being used at all), the system helps to extend the battery life by up to 50%. The batteries are automatically reconnected in less than 50 microseconds when needed. The system is also equipped with internal power resistors for qualified battery capacity testing, which indicates when the batteries need to be replaced. The EN54 series is system certified and tested together with AGM UPLUS 10+ & 12+ Design Life batteries. The unit can be supplemented with up to 4 battery shelves. The battery shelves are easily connected via a plug-in connector. Offers communication via RS485 to higher-level systems (note! requires system integration).
